Ventriloquizing the voices of international literature in bibliomorphic puppets may sound silly, and it is. Having established that, the PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature (the PWVFIL or Pwah Vee Fill) (not true) needs your help making puppets.
The Processional Arts Works Workshop, headed by Alex Kahn and Sophia Michahelles, will have free workshops to teach one and all to build puppets and other gnarly, book related things to hold while marching. You can bring kids if they’re at least ten years old.
Give reclusive, sedentary, sunlight-fearing authors the bodies they’ve always wanted. Come make a puppet!

The puppet making runs from April 21st through May 2nd. The Parade of Illuminations, the opening procession, happens April 30th.
