TUESDAY

It’s super sad, but funny at the same time–Don’t miss the Friars Club-style roast of Gary Shteyngart hosted by BAM in partnership with Greenlight Bookstore. The author of Russian Debutante’s Handbook, and Super Sad True Love Story will be subjected to a foray of comedic insults beginning at 7:30pm this evening.

Two photographers, one dynamic conversation—Danny Lyon and Howard French chat one on one about journalism, photography, and China, tonight at 7pm at Churner and Churner gallery.

WEDNESDAY

Williamsburg’s own Spectacle Theater is paying homage to the late Dennis Hopper. Don’t miss The American Dreamer and The Last Movie playing in tandem tonight. For more information click here.

THURSDAY

Celebrate Thanksgiving in miniature by visiting the New York Transit Museum’s 11th annual Holiday Train Show. All ages welcome.

FRIDAY

Described as Fiddler On the Roof meets The Godfather –It’s the last weekend to catch Isaac Babel and the Gangster King presented by the Horse Trade Theater Group at The Kraine Theater. Tickets are $25 and includes one drink.

SATURDAY

Tonight the Hudson Park Library hosts Rhyming Poets International featuring poets Ravi Shankar and Dr. Swapan Basu. Come for a lively evening filled with poetry, songs and music. Admission is free.

SUNDAY

Turn your post Thanksgiving blues around with KGB Bar’s annual Post Thanksgiving Comix and Graphic Novelist Night. Bring in your second hand graphic novels and be entered in a raffle.
