ABOUT

OVER 850 INTERVIEWS

FROM THE LAST QUARTER CENTURY!

For 27 years and running, BOMB’s mission has remained intact: to represent the artist’s voice through in-depth interviews between visual artists, writers, composers, directors, architects, and to reveal artists’ ideas, their thoughts and creative processes, as well as their progress, through carefully developed dialogues—now and for posterity.

BOMB’s Online Archive has many new enhancements, allowing you to easily access our content. Each feature listed below appears on every page!

Keep checking back in weeks to come for more features that will improve BOMB’s Online Archive, making it an ideal tool for students, scholars, and readers everywhere.

The BOMB Online Archive is made possible in part with support from Eric Fischl, The Andy Warhol Arts Writing Initiative, and the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency. The new website and archive would not be possible without their generosity.

BOMB’s Archives are of such cultural significance that they have twice been awarded NEA Heritage and Preservation Grants. In 2005, Columbia University acquired the hard copies of the BOMB Archive—including audio tapes, marginalia, and multiple edits of interviews—for their Rare Book & Manuscript Library, where they will be accessible to students and scholars worldwide, a true testament to BOMB’s legacy. We thank Columbia University for their support in this joint venture.
