Our friends at 651 ARTS are launching LIVE & OUTSPOKEN, their new series of live music, theater, and dance paired with provocative conversation next week, and BOMB is proud to be their official media sponsor. Each event includes live performance interspersed with an interview offering insight into the methods, lives, artistry and social concerns of leading performance innovators. Their first event, with Jimmy “Duck” Holmes and Ralph Lemon, is on Tuesday, April 27, at the home of Tom Fontana.

Mississippi bluesman Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, plays a distinct straight from the Delta Bentonia Blues that has gained him recognition across the world. Hear Holmes play solo acoustic guitar and soulful vocals in an intimate salon setting. Choreographer Ralph Lemon, a long-time friend, speaks with Holmes about his life, art and ownership of the oldest known juke joint in Mississippi.
